Out to Lunch : Matyas Gayer Trio, Cadogan Hall, Sloane Square, London (GB) - 1 août 2022

Gayer piano, Mátyás Hofecker bass and Steve Brown drums. Not my favourite jazz format but each of the musicians was impressive and they jelled very well, presumably after having played together a lot or following substantial rehearsal. They did On Green Dolphin Street, Young and Foolish, stuff from the Great American Songbook, the exception being Tommy Flanagan’s Mean Streets, an exciting bop number.
