Willcox was the drummer and the other players were Stephen Main tenor sax, Gareth Williams piano, Oli Hayhurst bass. Sax-led quartet – the commonest line-up in jazz? Postbop, occasionally interesting, always mid-tempo or slow, rather unexciting.
