A well-known example of the developing ‘trad’ jazz in Britain at the time. Exciting to see it live though, in retrospect, it was pretty formulaic stuff. The musicians were Ken Sims trumpet, Acker Bilk clarinet, John Mortimer trombone, Jay Hawkins or Roy James banjo, Ernie Price double bass and Ron McKay drums. The last of these was memorably entertaining. The year could be any within 1957-60 but 1959 is likely.
