Bandleader and singer (in Arabic), Abdul Aziz el Mubarak led a large band with strings, percussion and horns. Urban lovesongs from Sudan. Dressed smartly, the musicians reminded me of club or hotel orchestras of the past but, of course, not quite playing the same music.
