'Luthor's Blues' Tour : Walter Trout, O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, London (GB) - 8 nov. 2013

Despite serious health issues (Cirrhosis of the liver), Walter, along with his band, played up a storm of soulful and rocky blues in a way that firms up any argument putting them amongst the finest live acts that I've had the pleasure to see. However, Walter cut a frail figure and looked painfully thin and drawn, and was unable to stand for sustained periods. He joked about his appearance three songs in, putting on a brave face but during a particularly warm show of appreciation from the crowd, briefly broke down in tears, though mercifully, he was walking off, so those who didn't see certainly didn't hear! I can only pray that this isn't the last I'll see of this giant of the blues! Supported by the incredibly young looking but immeasurably talented Lawrence Jones Band! Watch this space cos if this guy don't make it, they all may as well pack it in!
