Public Enemy 1992 : Public Enemy, Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles (US) - Mar 6, 1992

It was a mostly black audience and I was white. No problem at all. It was a beautiful time and an exciting show. Flavor Flav warned us the cops were outside and to keep our cool. They were right. When we exited, there were over a hundred cops waiting for us in full riot gear. For no reason. There was no violence at all. It was a concert with a bunch of nerdy music fans. Most were Black but all of us just loved the music. I have been too much more dangerous and violent punk shows with nary a cop in sight. The memory of those LA cops sort of robbed me of the good vibes and joy of the concert. I was scared of those cops.
