The musicians are Selina Whichello vocal/tambourine, Kelly Burrows vcl, Kevin Malone guitar, John Zwanzig keyboards, Colin Dodds bs guitar, Lee Turner drums. The band plays stuff mainly from the 60s and 70s soul canon. A pleasure to hear these familiar songs performed with verve. The set included Cry To Me (Solomon Burke), Mustang Sally (Wilson Pickett), Twistin’ The Night Away (Sam Cooke), Son Of A Preacher Man & I Only Want To Be With You (Dusty Springfield), River Deep, Mountain High (Ike & Tina Turner), Proud Mary (Creedance Clearwater Revival). The singers were very impressive and the bass was good. Rather loud and somewhat lacking in dynamics, a common fault of course.
