Deconstruction similarities. L.A. Song - I guess the first guitar part and the way the words lay over the the song remind me a bit of The Dead Flag Blues though GSYBE is much more somber Iris - but the Deconstruction has a more obvious melodies. America also reminds me a bit, but we'd have to strip out all the vocals to hear the similarities.
I bought some A Minor Forest albums on a whim a few RSDs ago. I haven't listened to them too much, but Was definitely thrown back to Inindependence (far less complex) when listening to God Speed.
The "Waltz" part from Bosses Hang (spread throughout the different movements) Reminded me of Netherworld Waltz slightly I guess. I also loved the dervish tempo increase in Bosses Hang, it reminded me of Music for a Found Harmonium.
During Gathering Storm, I was reminded of this Tour of Detroit with a Medusa Cyclone track playing.
Many times I was reminded of some Psychic Ills and Early Pink Floyd like Interstellar Overdrive and multiple tracks from Saucerful of Secrets including Saucerful of Secrets (Providence)
