Red Buddha, Piccadilly Theatre, London (GB) - 1973

This was the multimedia show The Man from the East, written and directed by Stomu Yamash'ta and performed by the Red Buddha Theatre. The musicians were Hisako Yamashita violin, Joji Hirota percussion/voice, Shiro Murata flute, Hideo Funamoto percussion/voice, Morris Pert drums/percussion, Frank Tankowski guitar, Alyn Ross bass guitar, Lawrence Scott electric piano. Despite its name, this band may have been Pert's band which was called Come to the Edge. Pert worked with Yamash'ta for a couple of years. I think that Yamash'ta himself also played percussion at this performance. It was a tremendous event.
