A retro band playing jazz in the style of the late 1930s with a few numbers from an earlier period as well. They are: Louisa Jones vocal/double bass/piano, Magic Mike Henry trumpet, Ewan Bleach clarinet/vocal/piano, Jean-Marie Fagon guitar, Dave O'Brien double bass/piano. Numbers included Sweet Sue, That's A Plenty, After You've Gone, I'm Blue, Mean Old Bedbug Blues, Blue Drag, Solitude, Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone. A very low-key gig but it grew on you. The singer was good (very Billie Holiday) and the horns were inventive but without the brash grandstanding you often associate with those days. The cushion of rhythm guitar plus bass was just right - no need at all for drums.
