I was at that show on June 11, 1977. The concert lineup in order of performing was: Dickey Betts & Great Southern, The J. Geils Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the headliner Peter Frampton. It was a cloudy/overcast day and we did feel a rain drop or two, but nothing that would make you leave your seat. I actually have a recording of Lynyrd Skynyrd's set that day. That was only 4 months before their tragic plane crash. I also had tickets to see co-headliners Lynyrd Skynyrd/Ted Nugent at Madison Square Garden in New York for November 7th of that same year, but we all know what happened. That concert did go on as scheduled with Ted Nugent headlining and a local New York rock band named Rex opening up for him.
