Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi are back but alas, without Drummer Bill Ward whom Ozzy claimed was 'unable to keep up!' when recording the new album. The band are touring their 19th studio album, '13' and had used Brad Wilk from Rage Against The Machine on drums when recording. On this tour, they used Ozzy's drummer, Tommy Clufetos and it was an inspired choice because this guy is an INSANE drummer! They opened with 'War Pigs' and the place went mental! They followed up with 'Into The Void' which unfortunately Ozzy struggled with vocally. He's never been blessed with a great voice and is a poor front man generally but the thing he has in his favour is the fact that he's Ozzy Osbourne, the legend and that's enough for me! 'Riff master', Tony Iommi, was suitably brilliant but I found my self staring at Geezer and marvelling at his incredible bass play. They played all the classics you'd expect with the exception of 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' which I was amazed they missed out! 'God is Dead', the first single from '13' is in my opinion, one of the finest Sabbath songs, EVER and is a fantastic live track! All in all, a legendary gig, only imperfect due to Ozzy's below par vocals! Supported by Doom Metal group, 'Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats!
