The Cardigans, Sweden's finest export since ABBA, are one of my very favourite bands, so I jumped at the opportunity to see them live for the first time. Fronted by the ever wonderful Nina Persson, the band put on a really great show, promoting material from their then new album, 'Super Extra Gravity'. Nina's on-stage presence was pushed very close by the bassist, Magnus Sveningsson, who seemed to revel in his role, interacting with an enthusiastic audience. The band are often remembered for the song, 'Lovefool', but their material on the 3 studio albums since is way superior and in Nina, they have a brilliantly talented lyricist.
