support act: Dismemberment Plan set: Of The Girl, Corduroy, Breakerfall, Grievance, Hail Hail, Animal, Dissident, Nothing As It Seems, Alive, Thin Air, Light Years, Untitled, MFC, Habit, Wishlist, Off He Goes, Sleight of Hand, Insignificance, Rearviewmirror, Porch enc 1: Brain of J, Given To Fly, Do The Evolution, Better Man/(Save It For Later), Nothingman, Leatherman, Leaving Here enc 2: Soon Forget, Yellow Ledbetter notes: Last night in Milan was all about the crowd, so it would be inevitable that this crowd would be different. The scent of marijuana was in the air and thus a very subdued audience. Mike seemed to be back on tonight. Matt's drum tech, Greg, can be seen playing bongos during the set opener 'Of the Girl,' and even though this is a mellow opener, the crowd are noticeably quiet. Ed makes several comments about this "You guys are really quiet", he says, "it's really nice." The "man" trilogy appears again. 'Off He Goes' is "dedicated to a friend of mine who is here tonight." Stone's guitar is out of tune at the start of 'NAIS' which prompts the song to stop before Ed sings "All this funny tuning", says Stone, smiling, "when we play it next time it will be so much better." True to his word, Ed introduces 'NAIS' after 'Dissident' saying "A song you might have heard before, like four minutes ago." 'Nothingman' is introduced by Ed, but that appears later when they decide to play 'Sleight of Hand' instead. During 'Soon Forget' Ed tells the crowd that this is the ukulele's first visit to Switzerland so it's very excited, sitting over there, interrupting him saying "play me, play me" during the show. :)) Jeremy featured on the setlist but was not played.
